UPDATE – limited amount of early bird discount tickets now available!
Spend the day building a custom USB MIDI Controller. Four buttons, four knobs, and four switches, and a world of possibilities. It’s gonna be really cool.
By the end of the workshop you’ll have a fully functional MIDI controller that you can plug into any computer to control your favourite music software. You’ll also have the knowledge and ability to extend this controller, adding your twist on the interface and developing it even further. The workshop materials will include full documentation on how it all works, along with flexible code that you can use to adjust and remix it to your liking. Don’t be constrained by commercially available controllers anymore. Build your own and you’ll never look back.
20 May from 10-5 at Edinburgh Palette in Meadowbank. Get tickets now:
The controller you build will look similar to these images (perhaps slightly bigger).
Some soldering and electronics experience is suggested, but not required.
This is the first in what will hopefully be a series of electronic musical instrument building workshops. If this one seems to complicated for you, hold tight – I’ll be announcing a few different ones in the next month or two, depending on interest.
